Welcome to “A Voice For Our Kids! The Adam Turner Children’s Foundation”. A non-profit 501 ©3 Children’s Charity that reaches out to abused children and children fighting cancer.

Helen Keller once wrote,
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

Since the beginning of this foundation in late 2005, ATCF has reached out to over 400 children in shelters, hospitals, schools and as individuals, a personal outreach that brings light into the lives of children facing dark times.

Adam Turner, a precious 5 year old who loved Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Nascar racing and country music, also had his dreams. However, those dreams were put on hold as he began a battle of fighting brain cancer. With a wide smile and a spark in his eyes, Adam touched the lives of many with his zest for life. In May of 2005 another tumor was detected and on September 10, 2005, little Adam earned his wings and entered heaven. He was only 6 years old.

Joyce Wagster, the founder of this charity knows all to well the affects that substance abuse and violence has on children in the home. Having a father who suffered flashbacks from WWII and became addicted to alcohol and drugs and had violent tendencies, Joyce knows what sleepless nights and fear are all about when violence dominates the household.

A country/gospel recording artist and speaker, Joyce shares her life story and love for the Lord all over the nation and her music has touched many across the US on Chrisitan Country Radio.

In 2004 Joyce began volunteering in women and children shelters and saw the great need to reach out to children in abusive situations…upon meeting Adam Turner, she saw another need to reach out to children fighting cancer and their families. Thus began “A Voice For Our Kids! The Adam Turner Children’s Foundation”.

Today this foundation operates under the belief that “Miracles Happen”. Why? Because we believe that every child deserves their miracle.

Child Abuse and Neglect
In 2007, about 5.8 million children were involved in an estimated 3.2 million child abuse reports. 90% of sexual abuse victims know the perpetrator in some way and 68% are abused by family members. Almost 5 children die daily from child abuse. 2 out of 10 at-risk children will make it…the other 8 will die young or be in prison!

Childhood Cancer
With 12 types of childhood cancers, 1 to 2 children develop a cancer each year, out of every 10,000 children. The ATCF has a strong passion for all of these children but especially those fighting brain stem cancer where there is no survival rate.

With a team of dedicated Board Members, Volunteers and Women On A Mission, The Adam Turner Children’s Foundation is on a mission to reach as many children in hurting situations as possible.

Helen Keller also wrote, “It is a terrible thing to have sight, but no vision.” We at this foundation have a vision, a strong vision and passionate hearts to make a difference, to make changes and to stand strong in the rink for these precious children, strongly believing that “though the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it.” Miracles Happen!

Our foundation thrives because of the generous donations of others. Donations are tax deductible under our 501 ©3 status and are very much needed and appreciated. Please join us now by becoming “A Voice For Our Kids!”
